Originally built in 1925 and purchased as the family home, David's Great Grandparents, Jose & Marie Rodriguez, bought the house on June 6, 1932 in the heart of the Great Depression from the widow of Victor Shilton, who was in foreclosure. Jose passed away in 1935 and Maria in 1938. David's Grandparents Antonio & Aida raised their two children Alberto and Carmen (David's Mother) in the house. The house became a rental in 1991. The last tenant moved out January 2005. It has not been rented since. David is painstakingly restoring the house to its original grandeur and plans on retiring as 4th generation family in the home.

In the process of restoring the house, David met a gentleman who had grown up across the street from 50 Justin Drive. He has his own memories of the house and the family that resided there. He subsequently wrote an amazing essay about the house: Click here for "What's in a Pane".
